Survivors in the Vineyard: A Breast Cancer Benefit Dinner

Chocolates by Delanda Foundation of Giving hosted the first Annual Survivors in the Vineyard: A Breast Cancer Benefit Dinner on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at SoLu Estates Winery & Meadery in Cascade, WI.

This year's Honorary Chairwoman was Chauntel McKenzie, FoundHER and CEO of The PowHER Network. Our keynote speaker was Dr. Felicia Robertson, MD of Aurora Healthcare.

We started the evening with wine and a short 35 minute private motor coach ride to the vineyard. A pond arrival we were greeted by the winery staff and escorted to our private patio for dinner. During dinner we enjoyed live jazz performed by The Band Untitled. Followed by an informative words by Dr. Robertson. Dr. Robertson spoke about breast cancer prevention,  caring for yourself during treatment, aftercare, and the importance of healthy living.

Next we  set out to explore the breathtaking 600 acre estate by guided carriage ride. We explored the production area and during this part of the tour we enjoyed wine and chocolate pairing. We concluded the evening by sampling the estates handcrafted wines and meads in their beautiful wine bar.

I want to thank everyone who joined us in the vineyard, and extend and invite to join us next year! In 2018 we will be "Survivors in the Vineyard: A Breast Cancer Benefit Luncheon" on Saturday, August 18, 2018!

Save the Date for next year! 8.18.18

Warm Regards!
